A Graduation, Christmas, New Years, and Other News

This Christmas was different this year! Cortney's grandpa flew out to help celebrate Cortney's graduation from the University of Saint Thomas. Cortney graduated on Friday, December 19th with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. The next day we had a graduation party with lots of friends and family.

The following Monday we made the trip down to Iowa/Missouri to spend the whole week with Dustin's families. We had Christmas Eve at Dustin's mom's house with lots of appetizers! The next day we went to Dustin's dad's house for Christmas lunch and then that evening we went to Dustin's grandparent's house for Christmas dinner. There were lots of awesome presents ... even Midge got some!

New Years Eve was very fun this year. The Johnson's, long time family friends of the Decker's, came up to help us celebrate. Cortney's Dad and Mark Johnson flew to Tampa, FL New Years Eve to cheer on their Iowa football team. They got front row tickets and were photographed a ton for sports news channels. Here is a picture of them from the game (note the awesome signs their kids made :) ):

Since the dads were gone we all decided to go see Jeff Dunham on New Years Eve. He is a hilarious ventrilaquist and everyone enjoyed the show. Afterwards we all stayed up to watch the ball drop and played some games to pass the time. The rest of the week was spent shopping and catching up on some sleep. It was really fun seeing the Johnson's again.

In baby news ... we had our fetal echocardiogram last week. The cardiologist said her heart looked great and we shouldn't have any problems. "Midge" was very active during her ultrasound, she kept moving around and crossing her arms over her chest as if she was saying "You can't look at my heart" She must get her stubborness from her dad :) Dustin has been able to feel her kick more and more everyday.
